Nicole's Person Lookup Page
I Should Be On TV
Hi there, my name is Nicole and I am a very tall girl. I measure in at 6'2". I know. I'm blond too, which makes it all the better. For the record, I do not play basketball or volleyball, or any sport for that matter. I do however, play a mean game of kickball, but that's about it to be honest. I'm really athletically challenged, which is also ironic because I do PR for the Miami Dolphins, which I love doing. Right now with the season gearing up, I am am so busy, so I don't know if I will be a really good blogger until the season is over, but I will try my best! Also, I have been watching a lot of reality TV lately, and these people are so stupid! I should be on TV! But, then I run the risk of some random person saying I am dumb and should not be on TV, which I wouldn't want either. Anyways, gotta get back to it. Thank God it's Friday!
Searching Sesh So Awesome
Wow, I don't know where to start. I've had to put the people search stuff on the back burner for a while, but I've recently discovered a whole host of new ways to track people down. My mother suggested I make it a side business, which sounds fun, except I already make tons of money at my normal job. I just like doing it for fun. It's kind of neat knowing you log onto any people finder site and run a background check in minutes. Everything about it is so streamlined and easy. I love it so. Right now I'm all about finding death records. It sounds morbid, but death records are really great for finding out all sorts of things. I looked up my grandmother and found out she had actually died when I was 5 instead of 2, like my mother said. I wonder why she'd lie about it? That's something else I can ask the Gods of people search. You see? Too much fun. I'm almost not looking forward to heading back to work in the fall.
Wanna Keep Searchin'
I just wrote a whole post for you and Jimdo ate it.Thanks a lot for that, Jimdo. It was a good post, too. Really informative. Basically I talked about how I love to find people and when I'm not running a person search, I feel kind of blue and useless. When football season starts up again in the fall, I'll be more busy and won't have time to indulge in these feelings but I need something to occupy my mind until then. I'll just keeping reading rants to Lol Manuscripts because it's distracting. Blah, I can't be bothered to go back into all the details I did in the post that Jimdo ate. Be mad at Jimdo, not me!
Found Her!
Yup, I found her! Man, you think you're backed into a corner and can't find the person you're doing people searches for - and then it turns out that the very first person you found, the one you called and left a voicemail for: it was her all along! Yeah, see, it really is easy to find people as long as they check their messages and get back to you. Anyway, anyway, my co-worker was delighted to get back in touch with this lady. The only downside is that apparently she has diabetes. Bummer, huh? So I forwarded her this article from a blog I like to read, all about lap bands and type 2 diabetes. Enjoy!
Yeah, about that...
I don't even want to tell you about how the person search for my co-worker's former stepmother is going. In case you couldn't figure it out: not well. Man, you think you know how to find person and then you can't - not at all. Jeez, I thought I would be able to search people like anyone, you know? Meanwhile, I swear, My Job Is Making Me Fat, so I'm taking these vitamins as Damage Control.
Mystery Thickens
My people searches for my co-workers step-mother have been fruitful but not conclusive. I told her that in order to find a person, I would need as much information as she could give me, but she couldn't remember her maiden name, so we had to ask her father about that one. We used this site to find people and found out that she's remarried, we got all that contact info - and managed to reach her husband - who apparently is now her EX-husband. What a rough life! We'll keep sluething even if it takes us to the leap year four years from now.
Finding Family
One of my co-workers asked me the other day - since she knows about my skills to find a person - if I could help track down her step-mother. I guess she had become really close to her while her father had married her, but because they got divorced when she was twelve she hasn't seen her since. And she didn't get an visitation rights, since she was just her step-mother. I'm no private eye but I told her I'd do what I could. In the meantime, I suggested she check out finding news archives online
Um, yes, but not exactly
My boss knows all about my passion for background search, so he asked if I could find the Dolphins another quarterback. I hemmed and hawed and finally explained that's not exactly the way it works. I mean, I could locate a person if they wanted to find someone specific. Or I could do a background check on a candidate they're considering for the team--but I'm just an amateur, I'm sure that the whole department called HUMAN RESOURCES could probably do better than me. I hadn't realized just how low-tech my boss was, so this was a reality check. I'm have no idea how he has a hulu account.
Found!
I found Sarah! My high school friend I mentioned in my last post, I found her! To be honest, it was a little depressing. Turns out that she actually was on a reality TV show, or at least she was cast on one (she's not sure whether it will air or not) but two days into filming, she came down with malaria. Malaria! Yup, that's how third-world it was. I wish I could tell you which show it was, but Sarah had to sign a big confidentiality agreement, so she wasn't even allowed to tell me! She did--but of course, if I told you, then it would get back to the producers, yadda yadda, and she'd get sued for a billion dollars or something. She said she wishes she'd done a background search on the producers of the show beforehand. It might have saved her a lot of heartache. Apparently, she had also used this site in the past to find people but hadn't thought to look me up before. That made me feel a little bitter. Oh well, go Dolphins...
Person Look Up To Me!
Lots of people look up to me...both literally and figuratively speaking. I have a pretty big position with the Dolphins and I have a lot of employees who work under me, so I have a lot a responsibilities. However, I have a lot of male employees whom I am in charge of, and I get one or another reaction from them. One is that they are really intimidated by me and don't assert themselves like I want them to, or they just don't take me seriously. It's so hard. I don't seem to have this problem with the females; we all get along great and we're all friends outside of work too. I think it's especially hard for women to work in sports, and we aren't taken seriously, like we don't care enough. It's awful. I mean, I love my job, but lately I've just been so frustrated, and I keep thinking about my best friend from high school. She was so funny, and always knew how to pull me out of a bad mood. I keep wanting to getting in touch with her, and I wasn't sure how to until the other day, when my co-worker (girl of course) told me about how easy it is to do a person lookup online and find people's contact information, even if they have moved. When you do these people searches, you can also run a background check which I don't think I'd do on my friends, but it's a good thing to know how to do. She also said that people sometimes do a people search to help with genealogy projects and to find family members. I was browsing online and came across an article on PremiumHowtoGuides.com - How to Build Your Family Tree, which made me want to start doing mine! Maybe when the season is over I'll start that project, but for now, I better just find my friend first!
